A Muslim man was chosen to be laid off from work, despite his superior education and work experience to other employees who were not laid-off.
The man was also continually harassed throughout the years by his manager, and was given poor evaluations after having complained to the Employee Relations Department.
CAIR-Chicago contacted the employer regarding the issue. The employer conducted an investigation and decided to reinstate the Muslim man under another supervisor, and will conduct periodic meetings to ensure he is not discriminated or retaliated against.
