CAIR-Chicago Staff Attorney Kevin Vodak represented a Muslim man at his status hearing regarding an employment discrimination case. The man claims to have been a victim of chronic discrimination by a coworker. His original supervisor acted insufficiently on complaints made by the Muslim man, but a subsequent manager failed to respond to his complaints altogether. Additionally, the man began to receive poor evaluations. Eventually the man’s position was terminated. CAIR-Chicago filed a complaint of discrimination in federal court on the man’s behalf and will continue to represent him in his claims.
