The American Islamic College held a private luncheon for the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Sheikh Ali Gomaa, and distinguished guests on July 5th, 2010.

Tonight, CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab will discuss contemporary Islamic issues including Muslim-West relations, Islamophobia, Islam in the Media, and the Obama administration’s performance in terms of relations to Muslims at home and abroad.

As a speaker for the event “Islamic Intellectualism: Promoting a Critical Mind,” he clarified to participants that Islam strongly encourages intellectual inquisitiveness and creative problem solving.
