This week CAIR-Chicago’s Outreach Coordinator Gerald Hankerson attended the first ever Michigan Avenue Forum. The event took place at the Fourth Presbyterian Church in partnership with the Downtown Islamic Center (DIC). The keynote address was given by Eboo Patel, Founder and Director of the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) and author of “Acts of Faith.”
CAIR-Chicago recently co-sponsored its fourth blood drive alongside the Compassionate Network and the Inner City Muslim Network.
As a part of a nationwide summer-long campaign, Muslims Care, CAIR-Chicago partnered with LifeSource to co-sponsor a local blood drive at the Downtown Islamic Center
CAIR-Chicago’s Legal Advisor Maaria Mozaffar, Law Clerk Azam Khan, and Civil Rights Intern Samina Sulemanjee conducted an outreach presentation at the Downtown Islamic Center (DIC) at their monthly Sunday Brunch.
CAIR-Chicago attended the Civil Liberties Coalition of Illinois meeting at the Downtown Islamic Center, on Tuesday, February 21, 2006.
As part of our outreach program, CAIR-Chicago will visit three mosques every Friday throughout the month of January 2006.
