Earlier this month CAIR-Chicago held its bi-annual Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) co-sponsored by The University of Illinois at Chicago Muslim Student Association.
CAIR-Chicago is looking for a Youth Development Fellow to work closely with the Outreach Coordinator in building and maintaining the Muslim Youth Leadership Symposium (MYLS) initiative, as well as other development programs targeting youth ages 13-19.
The panels touched on key issues revolving around the online realm and its uses in carving a raw space for community conversation on taboo issues facing the millennial generation, particularly those in the Muslim community, as well as how social media can be most efficiently utilized for activism, coalition building, and amplifying one’s voice.
