CAIR-Chicago Participates in Developing New Initiatives for State Racial Profiling Task Force

CAIR-Chicago Civil Rights Coordinator, Christina Abraham, participated in a meeting designed to propose new initiatives to prevent and monitor racial profiling as a part of Governor Blagojevich’s Racial Profiling Task Force.

The sub-committee proposed several ideas that are to be agreed upon and incorporated into a larger body of recommendations made to the governor, who will then propose the recommendations in the legislature. The sub-committee will meet in the near future to finalize its recommendations for new initiatives.
