CAIR-Chicago joined the Remy Bumppo Theatre Company and its sponsors, Chicago Public Radio and the McCormick Tribune Foundation, for a performace project titled “thinkTank: The InSecurity Blanket.”
The “thinkTank” features short dramatic works with a focus on provoking timely conversation about a social, political or economic issue in which Chicago citizens have a stake. This year’s topic, “The InSecurity Blanket,” explores the tension between national security and individual freedom, and is the latest edition of Remy Bumppo’s thinkTank.
In a statement, U.S. Senator Russ Feingold publicly applauded the Remy Bumppo Theatre Company for “devoting this production to the issue of civil liberties and national security.”
CAIR-Chicago Communications Coordinator, Reem Rahman joined the theatre company this past Thursday, March 20th as a post-show speaker.
