WHEN: 8pm, July 17th, 2014

WHERE: 17 North State Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, Illinois, 60602

The staff and board of CAIR-Chicago would like to invite you to our fifth annual “Taste of Ramadan,” which is set to take place this summer at our centrally located downtown office. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door.

Last year, more than 300 community members attended the event. Check out more pictures from previous Taste of Ramadan iftars here.

‘Iftar’ is an Arabic term that refers to the evening meal that breaks the daylight fast that Muslims observe during Ramadan. The meal is often organized as a community so that Muslims can celebrate the breaking of their fast together.

The sun is due to set on Thursday, July 17th at approximately 8:23pm, which is when the Iftar will commence.

Due to our building’s fire code, we can only allow 225 guests at our event.
